Shaw Media’s commitment to the 'Best Coverage In The NFL' continues to grow

Bob LeGere joins Pro Football Weekly

Crystal Lake, Illinois - Shaw Media and Pro Football Weekly are extremely pleased to announce the return of Bob LeGere to the Pro Football Weekly staff as our Chicago Bears beat reporter for all of our Shaw Newspapers and NFL Analyst for PFW.

LeGere first joined Pro Football Weekly in 1982 as a staff writer four years after receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Northern Illinois University. He left briefly in 1984 to spend two years as a sports editor for the Pioneer Press and then served as a Pro Football Weekly senior writer from 1986-1990.

In 1990 LeGere left Pro Football Weekly to begin a distinguished 28-year stint as the Chicago Bears beat reporter at the Daily Herald making him the second longest tenured reporter and analyst on the Bears beat among Chicago media behind only Pro Football Weekly Editor, Hub Arkush.

While at the Herald LeGere also served as its NFL and Fantasy Football columnist and NFL feature writer, he covered 19 Super Bowls and has covered baseball, basketball and hockey as well.

In teaming LeGere with Arkush as well as senior NFL reporters Arthur Arkush and Eric Edholm Shaw Media now boasts the most experienced and widely read, listened to and viewed Chicago Bears and NFL coverage in the Chicago-land area through its newspaper, digital, television and radio products.
